Everything you need to know about Videotto.

Do I need to enter a credit card?

No, you can start with our free plan without entering any payment information. Upgrade when you're ready.

Who owns my clips?

You own your clips. We never use them for training or any other purpose.

Which social platforms are supported?

YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and more. Export in optimized formats for each platform.

How long does processing take?

Most videos are processed within 10 minutes. A 1-hour podcast typically generates clips in under 15 minutes.

Can I customize captions and branding?

Absolutely. Add your brand colors, logo, custom fonts, and caption styles. Save presets to apply across all clips.

What video formats can I upload?

Videotto supports all major video formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, and AVI. If you’re unsure whether your format is supported, MP4 is always a safe choice for the fastest processing.

What types of videos work best with Videotto?

Videotto is built for content with clear speech; podcasts, interviews, webinars, conference talks, educational videos, and commentary-style content all perform exceptionally well. The more natural and conversational the content, the better the AI gets at finding the best moments.

Is there a maximum video length I can upload?

Free plan users can upload videos up to 10GB. Paid plans support longer uploads. Most podcasts and long-form videos are fully supported.

Can I import videos directly from YouTube or other platforms?

Yes, you can paste a YouTube URL directly into Videotto and it will import your video automatically. No need to download it first. Other supported platforms include Google Drive.

How many clips will I get from each video?

The number of clips depends on the length and content of your video. A typical 1-hour podcast generates around 15 to 40 clips. You can also set your preferences for clip count and duration before processing.

What resolution will my exported clips be?

Free plan exports are in 720p. Paid plan users can export in full 1080p for professional-quality content ready to publish anywhere.

Can I remove the Videotto watermark?

Yes. The watermark is only present on clips exported under the free plan. Upgrading to any paid plan removes the watermark entirely, so your clips look fully branded and professional.

What is the difference between the free plan and paid plans?

The free plan lets you try Videotto with no credit card required and includes a set number of clips per month with a watermark on exports. Paid plans unlock higher processing limits, watermark-free exports, higher resolution downloads, advanced branding controls, and priority processing. See our Pricing page for a full comparison.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?

Yes, you can change your plan anytime from your account settings. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle and you will keep access to your current plan until then.

Is my video data secure? Do you share it with third parties?

Your privacy is a priority. All uploaded videos are encrypted and stored securely. We never share your content with third parties, and we never use your videos to train AI models. You own your content, always.

How long are my videos and clips stored on Videotto?

Projects are stored for 7 days on the free plan and indefinitely on paid plans. You can download all your clips at any time before they expire.

Can I get the transcript from my video separately?

Yes. Videotto generates a full transcript of your video as part of the clipping process. You can access and download the transcript directly from your project dashboard, useful for repurposing content into blog posts, newsletters, or social captions.

Can I manually edit clips after the AI generates them?

Absolutely. Once the AI generates your clips, you can trim, adjust captions, swap layouts, and fine-tune anything in the built-in editor before exporting. You stay in full control of the final output.

Can I direct the AI toward specific topics or moments in my video?

Yes. You can use keywords or prompts to guide the AI toward specific themes, guests, segments, or talking points in your video. This gives you more control over which moments get clipped and is especially useful for long-form interviews or panel discussions.

How does Videotto handle videos with multiple speakers?

Videotto’s AI is designed to handle multi-speaker content like interviews and panel discussions. It detects speaker changes and frames clips around the active speaker, keeping your content clear and watchable even with multiple people on screen.

Can I post clips to multiple platforms at the same time?

Yes. Once your clips are ready, you can export them in formats optimised for each platform; YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and more. No reformatting needed.

Are there any copyright issues with posting clips edited using Videotto?

Videotto processes and edits content that you upload. As long as you own the rights to your original video, or have permission to use it, there are no copyright issues with publishing the clips you create. We recommend always ensuring you have the appropriate rights to any music, footage, or third-party content in your uploads.

Can I use Videotto on mobile?

Yes, Videotto works on both desktop and mobile browsers. You can review and download your clips on the go.
